Graduation Time

Well here it is almost graduation time and I'm getting ideas for the Teacher. Still thinking of what the Teacher aides might like they work hard too(I know I was one). Feel free to email me if you have a basket you would like me to put together for you, I had a small glitch with the camera and should have pictures soon.

Baskets4u

I am starting a new business to keep my sanity in this crazy world. I am going to create beautiful baskets for any occasion. Let me know what it is and I will put it together at a reasonable price. I am also making breads and cookies, tell me what kind and I will make them and send them. I regret that because the business is so new I don't have the price sheet up yet. I expect that by weeks end it should be done.

30 years apart

Well here we go. My sister and I were adopted when we were very young. She lived a few miles from me growing up and I was not able to start looking for her until I was 30. by then she moved from Michigan to Phoenix and started her own family. After many calls to the social worker I was able to contact her in Arizona. We talked for an hour and she said she was coming out in July. I planned a big 4th of July party at my house and we met and she got to meet our oldest brother again(she hadn't seen him in 30 years either). After all the tears and hugs we reminisced about everything and haven't been apart since.

Let the games begin

My journey to Phoenix started in July of 2007. I was going to school in Auburn Hills, MI at Baker College, I graduated from there in June and then my sister told me about a school district near her that was hiring. Well, since I couldn't find a job at a school in MI I went to see her and was hired a week after arriving in Phoenix. I moved to Phoenix in October, 2007. I left the school in January of 2008(long story)and went to work at an eyeglass store, where I am today and much happier.

My son on the other hand is another story. He will be 18 in January, ok he does have a name(DJ). I created this site as an outlet to vent and make friends, and if anyone who reads this can offer any friendly advice, I am more than willing to listen.

Let me go back briefly, DJ has been on many meds in his life and there are to many to mention. We were even told that he has depression and Bipolar and therefore needs psychotic meds. Well that is where the nightmare began. The Doctor decided that he should be put on Paxil, and Geodon, on top of the Topamax and Depakote. He was worse on them then without them. I wasn't crazy about the idea but went along with the thought that maybe my son would be happier or at least on a more even keel. Boy was I wrong. His moods were unpredictable and I never knew what to say in front of him.

Well it took three months of begging to have him taken off it, but the Doctor finally did and now DJ is finally getting back to how he was before(more predictable and agreeable). I do have one problem however, how can you get them motivated for school when they take meds at 9:30pm are in bed at 10pm and can't up at 6:30am. I finally took the Xbox away.

I also started a second business to have another way to vent. I house sit for my neighbors and am trying to get into the travel industry, or at least making reservations from home.

We also have a cat named Mozart, he has a twin and is the sweetest cat ever. If I figure out how to post pictures I will put some on here.

Next time I will tell the incredible story of how my sister and I met after 30 years of being apart.

All for now
